Touché Salon held 26 day series of unique charitable events in Southern California
Los Angeles Philanthropy was more beautiful every day in January
Pasadena, CA, January 2009, Touché Salon & Spa began 2009 by donating their support and 5% of sales from services to a unique non-profit every day the salon was open in January.
The concept called 26 Days of Caring presented by Touché Salon & Spa, partnered with 26 great charities to generate donations, spread awareness and buzz. Chosen organizations had the opportunity to participate, set up a booth, promote their cause and more. “It was so much fun to work with all these great people and amazing charities! In these tough times, it just feels good to do something positive for the community that's bigger than just ourselves,” states Mira Khalil, owner of Touché.
Mira is a known local philanthropist, participating in local benefits and throwing her own at the salon, which included a fundraiser for breast cancer in October with the Huntington Hospital's Constance G. Zahorik Breast Center. No stranger to hospitality, Mira grew up in and around salons and worked at the Ritz Carlton's Spa.
Other special events took place after hours evening and other off-location events including an evening celebrity gala for the Apl Foundation at nearby Magnolia lounge, and a photography gallery for the Aid Service Center.

Touché has been a Pasadena landmark for over 8 years, the last of which Mira stepped in to build her vision for a destination of high fashion, style, and beauty.
